Eastdil M&A Corporate Advisory

I’ve seen a lot of threads on Eastdil in general, especially before the Wells Fargo spin off. However, I wanted to get some information 4-5 years after the Wells spin off on the firm and more specifically the M&A Corporate Advisory side in terms of the its placement within the firm and the exit opps.

IMO I think if you want to do more corp level advisory, WF is better than Eastdill. Believe Eastdill is more focused on property level advisory but would nudge you to do more research on this.

Exit opps are good regardless of firm if you want to do real estate private equity since both firms are respected in their RE space. I do think however that having true IB advisory experience (where you advise corporates on M&A / financing) as opposed to property level deals are better if you want to be at a firm where you do take-privates as opposed to vanilla real estate property acquisitions. Jus throwing my 2 cents

The actual IB team at Eastdil does corporate advisory, not property level. They advised on the largest IPO in 2024 and are very strong. Look up the lineage deal. They just can’t bookrun deals as they don’t have an SEC license to do that.

Do you know Eastil's corporate advisory comp? Is it similar to their brokerage arm?
