Email to Cushman Wakefield

Hello WSO,

I got in contact with the local office in Southern California and spoke to the Manager of Sales for Cushman and Wakefield, and he had asked me to send in my resume/CV, and also remind him that we spoke on the phone (this morning).

I come from the tech background, with no real sales experience, and he did ask what I wanted to do. I mentioned I wanted to go into Leasing (after reading WSO threads/posts about it), and he said to also include it.

How should I format my resume? He knows I am a fresh green horn.

I appreciate the insight, and does CW pay salary + comm?

Thanks!

Send your resume as is. You have no sales or real estate experience. Many brokerages, if you show grit and interest, will take you. And chances are, the guy you spoke to won't hire you. He will pass your resume along to a sales person or team of sales people looking to hire a junior to assist them. They will hire you.

If you have a salary, it will be in the form of a draw. Which means you will have to pay it back before you get any of your commissions. Essentially it is a loan (though you won't have to pay interest).
