Energy Efficiency
I am active in trying to get the structure owners (and new construction) to upgrade to more energy efficiency measures. The investment analysis should be similar to any energy property like wind farms or solar farms but the transaction costs of professional advice on these is crazy expensive. We need to make smaller deals more available to lower levels of the investment community.
There are great motivators like incentives and investment tax credits, but all the transaction process is heavily weighted to larger projects. Transaction costs must be reduced or these deals will never pencil out.
Any observations or advice is welcome.
