"Associate 1 in RE - Comm" Can someone please explain this business in detail?

The description is broad (M&A advisory, capital raising, etc.) but I would imagine it's a whole lot of fundraising, secondary market sales of fund interests, etc.

as decrebepro says above, i would think it's more of the latter. could be wrong but tread carefully.

I have zero interest in the job I am just curious for my own edification.

My general perception of this group is that they probably don't do a ton of business and nobody really knows that much about real estate. You tell people you work for Evercore, but you're not really an investment banker and you're not really a real estate guy either. I guess I just don't understand who grows up and says yeah I wanna do this job. Equities in Dallas...

No offense to anyone that works in this group - I realize that was pretty harsh. I would honestly love to be proved wrong!

I would agree with your overall sentiment however, a role like this would be a good start and a good resume grab starting out. Someone with “Evercore- Analyst, Real Estate Capital Advisory” can probably land a reputable Capital Markets role at a good RE shop and could even maybe land some REPE interviews based on name recognition alone.

Hey man, I got an interview with them lined up. Was it more technical or behavioural. Also did they require you to do an excel test. How was the assessment centre like??

Group acquired out of Greenhill. This role is a equity capital raising role. Not very technical. Most people exit to investor relations roles at large shops. Good experience overall but it's not M&A

yeah , do you know selective the open houses are or if everyone that applies gets in?
