Currently 2+ years into underwriting commercial properties at reputable CRE brokerage in major market (NYC, Chi, LA). Ideally would like to move into REIB group or REPE firm. Coming from mid tier university, what are my odds breaking into that part of the industry? Any advice is greatly appreciate.

Dumb question, what do REIB firms do? Mainly focus on portfolio level transactions? Genuinely don't know.
Real estate investment banking. Work a lot with REITs doing equity raises, bond issuances etc.
