I work as a real estate development analyst at a f500 like walmart, best buy, etc.

Just looking to see what there is out there. Maybe there isnt anything, IDK.

This sounds like a corporate real estate role and frankly will probably not transalte well to an investor role. If you're working on new store development you're probably going to be looking at expected sales vs lease and capital costs. You'll probably also be assisting the team as they go through permitting for new builds if they do ground leases. This would position you decently well to move to a developer with a retail slant.

 

Not sure yet, I havent even started yet.

I hope this doesnt anger some of the responders. I was just putting fealers out to see what is out there.

One of my NAIOP peers made a transition from doing development for a F500 to a national developer. The key is the skillset and network that you develop along the way.
