For those of you who got in: Columbia MSRED

For those of you who have attended Columbia MSRED, what were your stats? ie: WE, GMAT/GRE (if taken), GPA, extra curriculars, etc.  Also curious about Harvard MRE.

Got in with a 3.8 gpa from a top 20 ugrad. Had development experience and Big 4 tas experience. Didn't take GMAT. ECs: ULI Young Leaders, and leadership in college (pres of fraternity, stugov, etc.)

I ultimately ended up choosing Gtown (this will be controversial) due to the fact that I was able to work while in school since my firms HQ is in DC. Not a fan of Columbias curriculum given that its more difficult to intern and gain experience while in studying. Gtown was just better for my situation.

I had 2.5 yrs total work experience. IMO if you’re confident that RE is the path for you then I don’t see the harm in applying after a year or so, although others might disagree. I would advise against applying directly out of ugrad though.

MSRE, GRA is a newer program, but you have the benefit of being in McDonough. GRA is more infrastructure focused though but I'm sure you can end up at the same shops regardless of msre/GRA.
