I had met Mr. Hines 3 or 4 times, he was always a very kind person. He sat in a meeting I was presenting in once, and was asking detailed questions about the topic, even in his early 90s. He just wanted to absorb as much knowledge as possible.
I also know several of his grandkids and they are all great people.
Which says a whole lot about him as a person. How many grandkids (and even kids) of people who make it in this industry are just little shits?
He was an absolute legend in the industry and a terrific inspiration. I have a signed copy of his biography.
