Getting into CRE Asset Management
Currently, right now I am in a CRE assistant property manager position at a big firm (think JLL, CBRE, and etc.) in a major market on the east coast (Bos-Wash corridor). I have a BS in Economics from a non-target school but I am trying to make the jump into Asset Management in CRE and I was looking for some advice. With CRE Asset Management jobs, it is a requirement to have modeling experience, financial oriented, be extremely analytical, Argus, and etc. My question is, with my background, would it be beneficial to get either a certificate or Master's degree in Real Estate in order to open doors into CRE Asset Management in order to show my financial side or would it be a waste?
