Going from RE AM to REPE?

Currently work for a RE fund (commercial bank) and looking for way breaking into REPE in London. Shifting my current activities more into acquisitions. Any more advice on what I should focus on to make the transition possible? Did anyone go the same path?

He pushed me to be more intentional about how I talk about my experience and gave me concrete steps to prepare for interviews, from tailoring my resume to practicing financial modeling.
