Going from Real Estate Lending to Credit Analysis

I'm a year into a lending program at a MM bank in the Midwest. My job mostly involves underwriting/structuring. I'm considering reaching out to the more general commercial banking side of the bank about an internal transfer. How difficult would it be to go from CRE lending to a credit analyst position?
