Greystar Information
Is anyone aware of their compensation / lifestyle? What are the advancement opportunities and compensation at the more senior levels (VP/MD). I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Thanks!

Career Resources
Depends on what line of business, but the majority of my contacts at Greystar are salary + annual bonus who are VP/MD level. Advancement opportunities are positive as they are expanding and currently on-boarding new analysts/associates. I'm sure the expansion is also sourcing internal candidates as well, and these seem to not be fully marketed positions. Note: a contact was promoted from senior associate to director of development at a local office.
Local market also dictates the comp and the guys in Charleston, SC have a different lifestyle/culture than the DFW guys. Additionally, I've not heard anything that was meaningfully negative about Greystar...but that's just my two cents.
I'm in love with the city of Charleston which is actually why I asked about Greystar specifically haha. Great place to start/end a career. Not to be brash, but would you happen to know what salary + annual bonus might look like all in for someone at the VP/MD level? Ballpark? Ive always been interested in RE as an investment but after growing weary of corporate finance I'm considering pursing it as a career. Just curious what compensation typically maxes out at for high achievers. Appreciate the input!
*Edit. While I'm at it, would anyone happen to know what comp a analyst/associate could expect all in? Also, what kind of experience/education makes one competitive for one of these positions? How long does it take to rank up to VP/MD and what percent of analyst actually make it to that stage? Thanks.

People are amazing, comp is slightly below average for analyst / associate / manager level.
Above that, it's more based on performance than anything else, I would say.
Reviving this thread because I too would love to know salary + bonus ranges for VP level. SB in advance.
I actually worked at Greystar in a management program June - December 2017 .
Fantastic program and great company to move up. I think 1/3 of my class (~60 people in total) are still there now. I left to pursue an entrepreneurial endeavor. It's a huge company with a ton of room to grow, but it's also got some bureaucracy just like with any large company.
Bill Maddux and Bob Faith definitely know what they're doing.
