Has 2021 been slower than 2020?

Felt like 2020 ended up being a good year in Q3 and Q4. However, 2021 transactions is down heavily for us simply because there just hasn't been much deal flow and anything that has come to market has been overbid well above our thresholds. How's everyone else faring?

I feel the opposite, I've been busier than ever. Whenever i see those bloomberg headlines about "burnout", I get it. Our third party engineers, lawyers, mortgage brokers are all completely swamped all of the time. Everyone seems stressed and just waiting to get through this year.

I am in multifamily acquisitions covering Florida and Georgia markets. As for my outlook, I do not believe things will cool down. There is too much capital chasing deals. No idea how I am going to get anything done next year unless we adjust return expectations.
