Honestly probably very likely. If their Capital Markets Group is like the rest of their recruiting--questions are probably more fit than technical. Capital markets team is in NYC and that office has a huge Ivy League presence. I would know who the big funds are they target to and what current funds Hines is currently raising capital for (value-add fund, etc.).

 

Saw that posting. While Hines is a RE blue-blood and I would kill to have the word on my resume, I was kinda skeptical of that opening. The responsibilities did not sound particularly impressive. Reminds of how big guys like Carlyle will have "analyst" roles that are really more investor relations-esque. Just my 2 cents.

I would agree with the guy above that any position that junior will be far more fit based than quantitative.
