Good friends of mine. Up and coming group getting a ton of traction. Very high closing frequency on loans $5M.
They were very aggressive in purchasing and turning around distressed debt in the past. They now fund mom and pop shops by the buy load that rehab properties in the 5 boroughs.
They are not very competitive in my experience. They bid L+700 on a deal that ended up getting funded at 7.5 Fixed. Also very sharky being in the loan to own space.
I feel like a shop like Hirshmark, 5-7 person debt shop that operates in the 7-9% range is a dime a dozen. It feels like every street in NYC has a shop that like. One differentiator is that they also have an equity platform.
