Hotel Operations ---> Hotel/Resort Development

Graduated from non-target school with a double major in Finance and Hospitality & Tourism Management. While in college I interned with a company that managed a boutique hotel and vacation rental properties. Also while in college, I worked with an attorney doing estate/tax planning for HNW individuals. After graduation I worked with a hotel/resort developer for several months assisting with all matter regarding hotel and resort development (pro-formas, due diligence, site visits, re-zonings, etc.). It's a small operation, and he did not have a full time position available for me.

For the past year I have been involved in hotel operations doing revenue analysis/group management.

Has anyone ever gone this path or know of anyone that has? Any suggestions are appreciated.

The answer to your question of how to get a job is to keep networking. You have a wide variety of applicable experiences that should read well on a resume. For the rest of us though, this...

...sounds cool as shit. Make a thread about hotel/resort development whenever you get a chance. One of those things that always seems glamorous to me but I have zero experience in.
