How Long Do You Prep for An Interview (Analyst / Associate level)
How long do you prep for an interview? Have gone through guides here but curious do people take 20 minutes, a few hours to prepare and organize thoughts?

I wouldn’t use time to determine prep. It’s better to make sure you have all the info down and you are ready to talk. Research the company, people, markets, latest company news/transactions, and your interviewers if you know who they are. Prepare a good amount of questions for them. Make sure you’re sharp on the modeling/metrics/technical end as well. Then there are the standard “tell me about your background”, “why real estate?”, etc. All of my interview prep times were different based on the position/company.
Depended on where I was in my job search. At the start I might prep a few hours figuring out answers etc to specific questions and frameworks to work within. By the middle and end, barely need to prep above and beyond looking up who I am speaking with because I have my answers down and can work within the frameworks.
Can you give an example? I'm usually making a word doc with questions about a deal, the firm, markets and why I want to do xyz asset class. I want to have a better way to go about it if there is one so curious what an example of a framework to go off of?
That’s exactly what I do. Word doc. Mock questions. Write my answers. Rehearse.
