How many days a week are you expected to be in the office?
Curious to hear what positions and companies have the most flexible WFH policies. To start things off, I'm an analyst at a brokerage and expected to be in the office 4 days a week - only 1 day WFH.
4 days a week. NYC office
3, but everyone comes in 4, heard they might just transition to this across the company. There is another thread last month about this. Most jobs I'm seeing are now in person even for tech companies like Google, meta, and AMazonHQ
Yeah, I have a feeling 4 days in office is going to become the new norm, which is going to set the stage for the gradual push for 4x10 work weeks (at least in some industries)
Yea, but a lot won't in Finance, and we already work 5x10, haha. if not a 6x12 when I was in IB and Consulting. unless the SIFMA or mkt activities move we won't be moving to a 4 day work week. I'd love a 4x10
5, we build office on the west coast - “practice what you preach”

Full work from home/hotel rooms near job sites
Small family office, 5 days in office. I don't even have a laptop so I couldn't WFH if I wanted to.
You were issued a desktop computer?
What's a desktop?
Yup lol, it brings me back to my college days.
I actually demanded a desktop gaming rig for my desk cuz its the only thing that can run my models lol. I use my own laptop for elsewhere
5 days in office - office reit analyst lol
asked in the interview "do we have any wfh days"
"we're an office reit"
Kind of depressing seeing these responses. 2 days in office for me, 3 days WFH.
I love my apartment lol
Underwriting. Fully WFH since the start of COVID. I could probably do 1-2 days on site if I had to, but I'm never going back to 5 days in the office.
I remember the days of having to sit at a desk with nothing to do until my boss leaves. Never again.
3 and 4 are totally different feel. They require 3. Hardos do 4.
All 5 days. Firm is 95% over 40 years old. One of the most depressing and pathetic experiences of my entire life is watching the fully grown adults at my firm chain themselves to their cubes/offices in order to appease executive management and “look good”. Zero trust in anyone to complete their job how they see fit.
Absolute drain on morale and we’ve lost talent as a result.
5 days a week, Toronto office
Fully remote. Distressed debt and special situations. My entire team is all over the country. My boss' boss is remote as well in FL so I highly doubt theyll be pushing in office. We got a highly talented team here partly because of not forcing everyone to our NY office.
