How to develop a deal idea

The best employees are those who originate deals/close deals; sometimes these deals are generated from in-house deal ideas. Can someone who has walked down the beaten path explain how does one “generate a deal idea”? I suspect, like all things, there must be some sort of structured way of thinking/brainstorming that helps this process...?

Man I swear people ask the weirdest shit on this forum sometimes.

Have you ever come up with a good idea before? There isn’t exactly a roadmap for it.

Get enough reps overtime and get involved in deals–eventually you will develop your own sense of creativity. If you don’t it means you never had it to begin with.
