How to get started

Hello WSO,

I would like to get some opinions on how to get started in real estate.

Some (relevant) informations about me: - studying Economics in Continental Europe - currently in my third semester (out of six) - GPA: 4.0 / 4.0 - one short audit internship

Given this background, where should I start when my ultimate goal is to land a job in REPE? Any particular recommendations regarding a first internship in the real estate sector?

Also, can you recommend some resources for learning the necessary technicals? I just bought The Real Estate Game by Poorvu and am reading The Economist. Anything else I should look into?

Thank you in advance!

You're about to get 10 different variations of networking. So basically start by networking

this.

i know nothing about the Europe market but it doesn't look like you're unqualified to get some sort of entry-level job on the equity side.

My number one tip would be to start attending local networking events. Then find a mentor, who will answer all questions that interest you and will give you a better understanding of industry.

Also look for social media site dedicated completely to real estate professionals and real estate education. They have pretty much everything you'd want to know about real estate.
