How to research land parcels for particular zoning?

Hello all,

This might be an elementary question but I am doing research on different zoned land parcels such as industrial land, office land, multifamily land, etc for sale at different cities in the US. What are the best websites / resources for these?

Also, how do we find out which brokers have the most market share?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

I believe landvision has information on the zoning code. Once you get that, check the municipality site and see what the zoning code entails.

Google (insert any city you are looking for) Zoning Map. From there, dig around on the website and you will find it. Usually you can search by address or APN, sometimes you will just find a huge PDF that you will need to zoom in to see what zone your property falls on.

My team focuses in Los Angeles, so Zimas is a great site for all relevant zoning information regarding each district of LA.

Thanks all. I think I might have mis-phrased the question. Essentially, we are looking at comparables of industrial lands at a particular city (industrial now but others later). We want to get a list of industrial lands currently on sale and which broker is doing most of the industrial land sales in that area. I have gone to LoopNet and the major CRE sites but not sure what other websites I should be looking at.

Thanks again.

Some markets have their own sites similar to MLS where listings and sales are compiled. If you are just looking for listings, you can always just search for CBRE, JLL, whoever in that market and see what they have listed.
