Independent brokerage/investment consultant with 2-3 years experience?

I have 2-3 years experience as an acquisitions analyst in a niche alternative asset class of real estate. How feasible do you guys think it could be to go off on my own and market myself to smaller firms as someone who can help put together OMs/comps/models and things of the like on a project/contract basis? It seems like there are a fair amount of smaller firms getting started on both sides of deals that could use services like these.
