Hi everyone - does anyone have info/insight on the healthcare REIT Ventas based in Chicago? Looks like they focus on MOBs, seniors housing, some hospitals, etc. and appear well regarded in the space.
Any info on comp, culture, hours, etc. would be helpful. Much appreciated!

Long hours, high turnover, comp is just ok at the junior level and tied to stock compensation at more senior levels.
They are the #1 player in medical real estate and they have historically performed very well, but they have taken a beating with the rest of the REIT's over the past 12 - 18 months or so.
when you say long are you thinking 60-70 range or more in line with IB at 80+?
Minimum of 60 when "nothing" is pressing, if you are part of their reporting scramble the hours will be much longer. If you are pushing a deal towards closing it can be much longer than that.
Not worth the pay IMO. People tend to spend a few years there then move on.
Any update on Ventas culture, WLB, and hours expectation?
