Interested in career in RE investing

Hey all. Currently finishing my first year in IBD-M&A as an analyst. Plan on leaving after year 2. Been on a few real estate deals and interested in joining the industry. Aside from PE, what other real estate investing opportunities are out there / and when do they recruit? Looking to work in Houston, TX area. Thanks!

He pushed me to be more intentional about how I talk about my experience and gave me concrete steps to prepare for interviews, from tailoring my resume to practicing financial modeling.
