Interviews During the Holidays

I had an initial interview last week for a capital markets role. Should I be concerned if I don't hear back this week or next? I know everyone is busy around the holidays, but are firms putting recruiting on hold until the new year, or should I hear back?

That seems fair. They didn't provide a timeline, and was essentially an initial phone screen. What they told me was that they would forward my information onto the hiring manager, and they would reach out.

With that said, I wasn't sure if it would be smart to wait until after Christmas, or if I should be following up with the person who did my phone screen this week. With the holidays (at least with my current job) nobody at the firm would bother to reach out and set up an interview this week... or probably even next.

Same boat as you. Although my interview was mid last week and was told I'd get a follow up the next day. Didnt hear anything so sent the MD an email yesterday and will hear back after NY

Sit tight until after the NY and if you dont hear anything afterwards I'd follow up. Good luck!

Go all the way
