I’m looking for a way to sell an underperforming property and maybe do a 1031 exchange into a better opportunity. At the moment I don’t have any good ideas and haven’t been able to find anything worthwhile.
I looked a little into buying a discounted Manhattan condo in a new development (given the oversupply) and renting that out but would barely break even excluding appreciation.
Any thoughts on what might be a good property type/location/strategy to put $1 million in equity?
