Investment Sales Internship Interview
I’m on to the second phone interview round for an “Investment Sales Summer Intern” position at firm that focuses on multi family investment advisory. I’ll be speaking with the hiring manager. I’m not too sure what to expect, as this will be my first time interviewing for a position in this industry. I’m just looking for advice from anyone who has been in this position or something similar, and how I can study and prepare. Thanks in advance!
Just have a good grasp on what investment sales involves, a good why real estate answer, and know your resume story like the back of your hand. Be sure to have good questions for the hiring manager.
Perfect, thanks for the help!
1) practice articulating your interest in real estate and eagerness to learn (this will probably be 90-100% of the interview)
If you want to go the extra mile and be over prepared:
2) Take a spin through some free online multifamily models, there are sites like Adventures In CRE that have some good options. Having some technical knowledge in your back pocket won't hurt. 3) Have a quick call with somebody with investment sales or acquisitions experience to get a general idea of how process works.
