Is a REIT a good place to be for an Asset Management?
I have an interview for an asset management position for a S&P500 REIT company. Pretty well known from what I’ve heard but no idea how the REIT market is.
Just curious, would this be a good place to be as far as career growth and exit opportunities? Also, how much should I target for base salary as an asset manager, if they ask (2-3 YOE). Thanks guys.
Bump
Can you give comparable REITs so that I can an idea on size?
It’s like Realty Income Corp size
Hmm if they are doing mostly NNN deals the asset management work probably won’t be that interesting unless they are developing which makes things more interesting as you’d help out with leasing to understand value creation.
one area that could be interesting is if they sale a lot of assets in a given year and asset management runs the process.
Thanks for input. On the other hand, would Realty Income Corp be good company to work for?
Absolutely! I would ask them if they work on the dispositions. It looks like they sold 27 properties last quarter. I would also ask them if you do am on a national scope or regional.
Are they pretty well known? Like would they look good on a resume? Looking at applying to some jobs there
