Is anyone still doing site inspections at this time?
Just curious if there any firms that are still sending people to see properties and if so, how have property managers/brokers responded? There are several properties in the Bronx and Brooklyn, and my manager told me "it's up to you if you are comfortable seeing them", but also emphasized the importance of them, so there's some pressure to see them despite NYC being a hotspot for the coronavirus. I'm curious to see if anyone else is still going out to meet with property managers/brokers at this time.
your manager is a POS!
Drive-by inspections only
Dude, if there are essential personnel on site, ask them to send you some pictures. What value-add will you really bring by going there, really? Would you travel to Wuhan two months ago to walk a property?
Your manager is either a dumbass or a psychopath putting lives at risk, no one is doing inspections. Even most site staff are appointment only or working from home. I can't overstate this enough, that guy sucks.
I've got a few city inspections for a property I'm under contract on. For now, city hall is saying no inspections, but when we call up the inspectors, it's up to their discretion.
What kind of returns are you looking for ?
My firm has been, but hasn’t looked at any NYC properties at this time. Mainly sunbelt
