Is culture all the same at Blackstone, Starwood, Carlyle, KKR, etc.
I have seen people say culture doesn’t matter as much at these places Bc they’re top tier, but do they have any significant distinctions? Or can you expect the same from all?

Career Resources
No. They're all good overall but certainly have differences (ie. KKR is leaner in RE, BX a tad more diverse, SW sweatier, CG based mostly in DC and easier to get into).
Could you elaborate on Starwood?
Never worked there personally but from friends who have I've hear some mixed reviews about culture, whereas the others I've only heard about long hours no other issues on culture. Still a great firm, but have heard some ppl refer to it as "sweaty" and a bit difficult to move-up at times in certain offices.
Culture definitively matters no matter where you work. You could be at an amazing firm with a horiffic culture where you get screamed at each day - well that would suck. Alternatively, you could be at another firm where the hours are atrocious, but you really like the people and work environment.
