Is it okay to delay start date?
Would it look bad to delay start date by 2 or 3 weeks? Was planning to sat start in first week of June but won’t have a place to live until a couple weeks after that.

Yes it would!
Yeah that’s a bad look bog
If you have some legit logistical issue with a place to live, you could ask for a remote or semi-remote start (maybe visit for first few days for paperwork/stuff, then go back home or where ever). I don't think that is terribly crazy. Still, if they are expecting you... they are expecting you, but really over the course of your time with a firm.. this will not be remembered.
This is for a brokerage, they did say they were willing to be flexible but I don’t want to send that email and tell them, “hey I don’t have to place live so I can’t start yet” you know? I might get an Airbnb or something or go on Craigslist to work something short term out. I see sublets on there all the time. I have a place lined but it won’t be available until mid June.
