JLL Analyst Excel Test

Hey All,

I have an interview coming up with JLL's Hotels division & they require a financial modelling test to be completed - one that's focused on several areas of testing but not case study based. I've only had experience modelling general CRE investments but I'm assuming its constructing a cash flow using accounting statements? Would modelling a hotel investment be somewhat similar? I've done some research but I'm looking for more recent examples.

Would really appreciate it if anyone can provide any materials specific to JLL or anything else as well as any advice so I can practice & be aware of what to expect.

Thanks very much!

I had two phone interviews with them a year ago and then they had given me a take home case study writing report where they gave me a description of a hotel and market reports (STAR) and I had to write a 1-2 page summary giving my opinion on it.

Basically had zero experience with hospitality and they gave me so much data I didn’t even know wtf to do with it. Never heard back from them after I sent it over lol. It was so bad.

Also, not sure why they waste their time interviewing candidates they know they won’t hire..we all know they’re going to hire some kid out of Cornell’s Hotel program.
