My current firm is looking to hire an associate, so posting it here first as a small token of appreciation to the WSO community. Generally speaking, in addition to passing the obvious excel and non-idiot tests, we're looking for someone with 1-2 years of CRE experience, preferably with acquisitions, workout and/or underwriting exposure.
It's a good opportunity for someone looking to make a jump from the equity or direct investing side over to the capital markets side of the debt business. I'd recommend staying here no more than 12-24 months. You'll see an enormous amount of deal flow, but it's not meant to be a long-term opportunity. You'll be working with myself and a team on securitized commercial real estate deals (CMBS and CRE CLOs).
