Jumping from Institutional RE to Developer - Tips on Sourcing Opportunities?
I'll keep it short as I could ask a million questions, but want to keep it pretty open and let people take it where they'd like. I'm moving from the institutional world and joining a developer/operator doing acquisition and development sourcing (among a million other things). Curious if people have some insight into the best way to start developing a pipeline, especially in the first couple of months in a new market.

It's a lot of networking. Breakfasts & lunches with investment sales brokers, or investment professionals at some of your "competitors". They might compete with you on a deal every so often, but they might sell you a deal, too.
