Junior Broker Comp / Lifestyle?
Currently working in private equity. The hours blow. The pay is good but the amount of stress involved and the city I’m located in is not ideal for me. Would be willing to move back to my hometown and work for JLL/CBRE/NGKF/etc as a leasing / sales analyst. Wondering what the comp and lifestyle is like working for one of these large shops.
Currently at a local “capital markets” shop (mainly place debt) as a junior broker but hours are 50-60+. Friends that work at more institutional shops have similar hours. Not sure it’s much better than pe from a comp/lifestyle view, especially if you don’t like sales and taking late night calls from worried borrowers
At one of these shops listed in IS. 40-60 hrs per week depending on deal flow, client meetings, etc. First year draw, then straight to full commission.
