KeyBank RE Underwriting

Any insights into KeyBank? Seem like nice and smart people, but LinkedIn shows minimal career progression for people there. Like 7-15 years with the same titles and they aren’t even high seats. Anyone know whether they develop talent or not?

Thats the side i’m interested in. Currently at one of the agencies though. Pay looks like it will be better but I’m not sure if its good for the long haul if there is no growth.

Would love to hear thoughts

I was in a similar position. I used to work at a seller/servicer and left for a bank that's a little bigger than Key. My larger team has so many VPs who are at least 50 years old and have been at the bank for years. Not sure if it's internal politics or what but these people have been stuck in the same title, doing the same work for at least a decade. My next promotion would be VP but seems that is where so many remain stagnant.

Once I hit two years with my team, I am going to try and get out. My future can already see the writing on the wall plus I am not a big fan of working at a bank.

Seems top heavy. What kind of deals does KeyBank balance sheet lend on?
