KKR's K-Star?
What is K-Star? Is it the real estate debt group of KKR? Similar to BREDS for Blackstone? Or is it something different? Anything would be helpful, thanks!

It's the AM function/team of KKR Real Estate Credit.
I see, so what would an underwriter do in Credit AM then? Saw a posting but it seemed like regular debt underwriting?
Is uw used in the job ad? To my knowledge it will entail typical portfolio workstreams ie progress draws, working w/ deal team to implement changes to the loan structure, monitoring covs, site walks.
K-Star seems more akin to a loan servicing platform which would be a different vertical than KKR Credit which is where production (UW/originations) would sit.
