Asset Management and Multifamily Acquisition from Land Acq.
I spent about a year in a half working for a top 10 homebuilder. Now I’m on the land acquisition side at a large, private equity backed ( Starwood, Blackstone, etc. type) mix-use developer, where I underwrite development opportunities and build financial models.
I’m interested in multifamily acquisition and asset management, but I’d also like to hear what other exit opportunities are worth considering. I’m completing ACRE’s modeling coursework. Will that help me make the switch or do I need to get a master’s? I generally would like be in an associate of senior analyst role but open to anything.
I’d appreciate any advice from people who have made a similar switch or hire for these roles. Thank in advance.
