Learning the Equity Side
I'm a debt broker who's experience has been 99% focused on straight down the fairway perm deals and some bridge exposure. There's not many at my firm that understand the equity placement side of the business and I want to be more proactive about learning it. Do any of you have any recommendations on online sources, books, podcasts...etc... where I can learn more of the basics and modeling?
Please everyone not all at once
What are you trying to learn? If you place debt, don't you have to do the equity modeling so you can create books/and pitch deals to lenders?
I'm a little scared that you don't see the corollary between debt and equity and have maybe(?) successful placing debt (or the lenders you work with just think you are an idiot).
