Leaving at the Analyst level for lower TC

Hi,

I'm currently working at a larger institutional Real Estate investor and developer in Canada for a little less than a year now. I'm currently in a Portfolio Management Analyst related role but have gone long enough to know that it's not for me. Some other recent factors (turnover at the Analyst/Manager level, some dissatisfaction with some coworkers) is also playing a part in my unhappiness at my current role. The VP has it in mind that I would maintain my current responsibilities for the majority of the remainder of the year but with the structure of the company (big and slow moving) it is inherently difficult to move around without putting 1.5-2 years in one position.

I've been interviewing for some Acquisitions/Development positions (mostly on Multifamily Rental/Condo side) at small-mid sized firms and have received an offer and am in late stages with some other companies. I likely won't be compensated as well (Maybe ~$10K discount all-in) compared to my current role at first. Would it be crazy to take this cut to jump into a area I wanted to do or should I stick it out and try to internally facilitate something?
