Life Co Internal Mobility?
How easy is it to move AM to acquisitions or the other way around internally at Life Co’s? I would be willing to move geographically. This is at the larger Life Cos like MetLife/PGIM/Allianz.

Totally depends on the Life Co. Unless someone at the forum has worked at these companies, I don’t think they would know. I can name one Life Co that you didn’t list that has tons of internal mobility and moves happen all the time. It’s firm dependent.
What about PGIM or MetLife ?
Same as before - can’t comment as you will need to find people who have worked at those firms.
Don't waste your time. Takes years to make the switch as well as strong political positioning.
Put in your 1-3 years then jump to a smaller shop to do the same thing for twice the pay or head to grad school.
It would make sense though if you specialized in an asset class (e.g. Hotel AM Analyst > Hotel Acq Associate)
I have three different connections from undergrad who all started in AM at PGIM MetLife NYL etc and they all jumped over to the acquisitions side after a year or two.. It's political but can be done.
