LIHTC Syndication Salary

Can anyone provide some insight on LIHTC syndication salary and overall experience? Say first 2-5 years as an analyst/associate underwriter at one of the "big guys" in the industry.

Considering a switch from LIHTC development (2yrs experience) to the syndication side of things.

thanks

I did the opposite. Worked at a syndicator for a few years, then moved to a developer. Comp at syndicator prob depends on what region you’re looking in, I’d imagine with 2 YOE comp would be $85-$100k, bonuses usually only 5-15%. No other comp.

Being a fellow LIHTC developer I’m curious what your comp is now? And what region you’re in? Feel free to pm me

Thanks.

Yea, currently in LIHTC Dev. in the southeast but looking to move to a major city (NY, Bos, Chi) for a lihtc finance job.

Base salary $60k + $30-50k in bonuses split up throughout the year - depending on how many deals closed.

Did you end up making the move to syndicator? Im currently at a developer considering the syndications side. Thanks

I was looking for more reps and experience honestly. Yes, there's more money to be made long term in development (if you find the right shop that you can grow with) but I didn't see that happening soon so I figured I would try something different while im still early in my career.

Am in 4th year now at one of these positions at one of the bigger shops. Last year comp was about 160k all in. Feel free to pm me if you have specific questions
