"RE", and I'm assuming you mean commercial real estate, is still a fragmented and diverse industry. Unless you are specifically seeking out large institutional type players, it will be difficult to come up with a definitive list of players in Canada.
Hopefully someone can provide a starter list of companies, but just know that there will be many names that may take research to uncover.
As far as networking, you can make some cold calls/emails as you uncover things. Ask EVERYONE if there is someone else they know that you can reach out to. Brookfield is one company on your list, but there are dozens you can uncover with research.
