M&A background to CRE Advice

Hello everyone,

Looking for some advice regarding an upcoming interview.  Spent the first two years of my career on a very acquisitive M&A team (I was covering a non-RE related industry).  In the new year for personal reasons, I decided I wanted to make a career switch and got interested in commercial real estate.  One of my really close friends works in the industry and hearing him always talk about it got me interested so I started applying to Capital Markets Analyst roles.  I have an interview coming up with a high producing team at a top brokerage.  For prep I have been going over the WSP CRE interview guide, taking some CRE specific modeling courses to familiarize myself, and reading a lot of research reports on the market the team is in as well as what they focus on.  My friend told me that the interviews shouldn't be too overwhelming, but they were not sure the specifics because they are in a producer role.  Any advice on what to expect in the interview given I have experience that isn't RE related and am not fresh out of college?  Really appreciate any insight that will help me gauge the level of depth I need to prepare for.

Thanks for any help/ advice!
