Market compensation and common bonus structure for first year CRE acquisitions analysts in Chicago?
What is market compensation for first year analysts in Chicago? How much different is compensation in investments role vs. asset management? How much variance is there between shops?
I’m in originations which is pretty equivalent to acquisitions but on the debt side.
My 1st year comp is $85k and 20% bonus which is about $100k total comp
Also in Originations
At 100k base with 30% - 40% bonus. At more of a Debt Fund shop. Long hours.
How many hours at debt funds?
Chicago comp on acquisitions side is notoriously low, partly because cost of living in Chicago is very low and partly because the culture is generally more relaxed/lifestyle-focused. I think you're looking at $75-90k all-in for a junior analyst, with Walton St. being the one outlier I know of
Thanks. From what I have read in this site, this rings true.
Any idea what Walton st pays?
