So I am doing a market research report for a specific neighborhood in the Bronx for my job. The only paid resource I have access to is CoStar.
- What info should I be putting on this report/ Where should I be getting this info from?
All advice is very appreciated.
Very vague. What are you trying to communicate in this market report?
Really as much information as I can get. The goal of the report is to be more knowledgeable about the area so my company can be more confident buying in the area.
What Product Type, Deal Size, Risk Profile (Stabilized, Value-Add, Development, etc), how are you capitalized, etc etc.
Without knowing anything,
Supply and demand, historic and future pipeline Comparables (transactions and lease activity) Demographic analysis Economic analysis
Echo this, as well as:
Make a pretty chart or graph with this and throw it somewhere on the report. Don't know about CoStar's accuracy in the Bronx, but where I am it sucks balls. Might have to resort to calling brokers or research teams at the large brokerage shops in the area for their reports.
How do I go about calling these brokers?
