Mill Creek Residential 2022
Most of the old chains on MCR are stale/have limited feedback - does anyone have recent experience with MCR and can speak to their culture? Reputation? Downsides to working there? Comp relative to other top developers? Opportunity for advancement? I’ve been recruited multiple times for open senior positions so I’m curious to hear more unfiltered feedback - any input is welcomed and appreciated.

They may have more land under control than any merchant builder I know of right now, unsure if that is a good thing or a bad thing... Great reputation, great shop, lots of equity partners, partially owned by the state of New Mexico, They've raised capital into a bunch of different strategies, and continue to be thoughtful about their growth. Folks I know in leadership are very solid. Great merchant shop if that's what you're into.
Appreciate the reply and the color.
Any thoughts/intel on the growth opportunities or how strong they are from a comp perspective? Are they in line with a Hines, Related, Tishman, etc. reputation wise and how does their comp compare?
In terms of comp: This would be a much faster path to getting a piece of the promote vs. Related/Tishman
Not that it matters. But it's the state of Arizona (not New Mexico).
More land under control than Greystar? I find that hard to believe, but you may be right.
Curious how you evaluate risk of moving during a downturn? Considering lots of industries are going through layoffs, likely high rates for a while, etc
I don't work in development so maybe a different perspective, but I'm interested nonetheless
