Monument Capital Management a REPE fund managed by Alex Rodriguez A-rod

A-rod runs a pretty decent sized fund that has over 12,000 multifamily units. It is kind of crazy that he actually has raised a few funds. It must help that he has name recognition. Does anyone work with them?

I'm familiar with them. They have a great track record executing on multifamily value-add investments in very specific markets. They follow the "buy it, fix it, and sell it" investment approach limiting exposure in their target markets. A Rod isn't very involved in the day to day operations, at least in my experience. He has assembled a very experienced team to handle all the usual responsibilities. It's not the most original investment platform, but they have a great track record so obviously they are doing something right.
