Just got an email from a headhunter regarding an associate role at Morgan Stanley REI and was wondering if anyone had any info on them (good group, comp, advancement opportunities, etc)

For US
I spoke with them last year. It was for the Pre-MBA role (2+ YOE). They have buckets for all asset classes and return profiles but mostly focused on industrial at the time. You can get to Senior Associate/Post MBA with 5-6 yrs.
I believe I was quoted $250-275k all-in.
Do you know if they hire directly from post mba?
Not totally sure about now but I know a former MBA associate that worked their for a summer and got a return offer a few years ago
That comp seems light for 5-6 YOE given you know they'll be demanding in hours and lifestyle
The quoted comp was for the pre MBA Associate role. Would imagine the Senior Associate role is a lot more as well but I didn’t get much info on comp progression.
Recruiter reached out to me too. Very strong team since I know someone there. My only problems are that I don’t want to commit to a role a year in advance as I currently have a real shot at being elsewhere this fall. Also, don’t care how this sounds, but 5 days a week in the office is a dealbreaker for me.

Like with anything, it will depend who you work with. The culture is cutthroat and competitive. You'll work long hours and may run into strong, toxic personalities. Be prepared to deal with an environment that will make you question your competence and knock down your confidence. Pay is good.
