Does anyone have any idea where I can find data on multifamily units that were supposed to break ground in Q4 '22 but have since been delayed?
I'm really just looking for something quantifiable to show "X" amount of units were proposed to start in this market during Q4, and only "X" amount broke ground.
My theory is that if market conditions/outlook gets better in the next quarter or two, there will be a significant amount of build-up in the pipeline for construction starts. If everyone starts construction at once, you can imagine the issues during the buildout process, along with everyone attempting to lease up at roughly the same time.
